Sarah Oberklaid
Sarah is a collaborative and creative urban planner with experience leading strategic planning and design projects.
Sarah strives to contribute to projects which support more inclusive, sustainable and well-designed places people love.
Prior to joining CoFutures, Sarah worked for the Office of the Victorian Government Architect, the City of Melbourne and the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute. In these roles she contributed to a diversity of strategies and provided design advice with a focus on housing, education, transport, public space, arts and culture, and urban renewal. Her work involved collaborating with multi-disciplinary stakeholders to understand needs and producing engaging, accessible reports. Sarah has also led projects which focused on measuring the value of good design, as well as affordable housing to society. Sarah has written articles for publications in Australia and the USA exploring public space, sustainability, community engagement, architecture and design.
