Development Victoria Explainer Video
Creating Places for People
The Challenge
Development Victoria creates vibrant places, revitalises iconic public buildings and creates cultural and recreational facilities for all Victorians. It is the Victorian Government’s Development Agency responsible for delivering on government policy through property development and urban renewal.
Having recently completed a refresh of their corporate brand and identity, Development Victoria were looking to launch their new people-centric vision, focused on ‘creating places for people’. CoFutures was engaged to work with Development Victoria to explore ways to communicate this vision to its internal and external stakeholders using storytelling and animation.
CoFutures were engaged to develop an engaging animated video to inspire and align internal and external stakeholders around Development Victoria’s organisational purpose.
What We Did
- Reviewed Development Victoria’s corporate style guide to ensure the launch video was consistent with the refreshed ‘look and feel’ and on-brand.
- Developed a set of key messages for the video script.
- Recorded and directed a voice over artist.
- Created graphic storyboard concepts and style frames to conceptualise the visual identity and graphic design.
- Developed a bespoke illustrated artwork and scene design.
- Animated of a 90 - second explainer video including voice over, music and captions.
Outcomes
We created a 90-second animated explainer video which brings to life the ‘places for people’ vision. The video includes animated artwork depicting a range of Development Victoria projects including the Docklands, The Fitzroy Gasworks Site, The Geelong Arts Centre and The Shrine of Remembrance.
The video is being used as an internal communication tool to help build excitement and understanding around Development Victoria’s vision and purpose.
